STAHLSTADT VESPA · LINZ
Stahlstadt Vespa – our Vespa club from Linz
A Vespa gets you from A to B. Together, it takes us to shared experiences, new friendships and stories that stay with us. That is why Stahlstadt Vespa exists: since 2022, we have shared our enthusiasm for Vespa in Linz and Upper Austria – in a personal, uncomplicated way, with plenty of joy in riding together.
A shared idea became our club
Our roots lie in a Vespa community within a larger motorsport club with ties to a company. Some of us played a key role in building and developing that community. Over time, however, our ideas began to diverge. We increasingly missed the personal connections and the understanding of Vespa club life that matter to us.
Thomas, Gregor and Dominik therefore decided to found Stahlstadt Vespa. At first, a shared future with the existing motorsport club was still being considered. When that did not work out, we chose our own path.
Since 2022, we have been an independent club. As a member of Vespa Club Austria, the Austrian umbrella organisation, we are part of the official Vespa community.
Shared experiences rather than simply growing bigger
Our goal is not to have as many members as possible on a list. We want to bring together people who enjoy our hobby and help shape club life.
A relaxed ride, a gathering with other clubs, a trip together or scooter talk in the garage: we make time for one another. That is how the experiences that define our club come about.
We also want to pass this enthusiasm on to the next generation. So that the joy of Vespa lives on – along with the knowledge, the stories and the scooters themselves.
Classic geared Vespa or automatic – passion brings us together
Classic geared Vespas and modern automatic models share the road in our club. Nobody is more or less a part of our community because of the Vespa they ride.
At the same time, we aim for a balanced mix of classic geared Vespas and modern automatic models. Historic Vespas and their preservation are an essential part of our club's purpose and should continue to help shape it in the future.
On our rides together, the slowest Vespa sets the pace. We want to enjoy the route, take breaks and arrive together.
Preserving historic Vespas and sharing knowledge
Old Vespas are a piece of motoring history. Preserving them and keeping them on the road matters to us and is enshrined in our club statutes.
For us, that also means sharing experience and passing on enthusiasm for historic vehicles. Because a classic Vespa should continue to be ridden, understood and appreciated in the future.
Riding together and making a difference
Charity and social engagement are also firmly embedded in our club statutes. As a club, we want to do more than have a good time together: we also want to help others within our means.
For us, community does not stop at our own garage door.
