Classic vehicle atmosphere in Unterstetten

A club ride from Linz to the classic vehicle gathering in Unterstetten: beautiful roads, familiar faces and plenty of two-stroke charm.

Classic vehicle atmosphere in Unterstetten
Stahlstadt Vespa on the road – classic vehicle atmosphere in Unterstetten Saturday, 10:00 am in Linz-Kleinmünchen. The sun peeks through the clouds, the Vespa engines are warming up, and six cheerful Vespisti meet at the petrol station. Our destination: the classic vehicle gathering in Unterstetten an der Trattnach. Our route takes us through Ebelsberg, Ansfelden, Weißkirchen, Marchtrenk, Buchkirchen, Haiding, Bad Schallerbach, Grieskirchen and Tollet to Unterstetten. Two more Vespa friends join us along the way, bringing our group to ten, ready for the road and accompanied by a proper two-stroke soundtrack. In Unterstetten, a wonderful spectacle awaits: classic vehicles in every shape, colour and variety, on two wheels and four. A treat for enthusiasts. One slightly alarming discovery: some vehicles we still remember as brand-new cars now officially count as classics. Time flies… We were especially pleased to meet up with our member Stefan, who had taken part in the Wadholz Classic Rallye. He joined us around 12:30 pm, just in time for lunch, and told us about his 50-kilometre ride and his strong position in the results. Well done! Meanwhile, our club chairman personally congratulated organiser Franz Pichler on a successful event and promised that Stahlstadt Vespa would be back in 2026. Around 2:00 pm, we gradually set off for home. The return journey follows a slightly different route, with a few detours and some new impressions. In the Buchkirchen/Holzhausen area, we make one final stop at Gasthaus David to refuel riders and machines alike. The group then splits up: some head straight home, while others bring the day to a leisurely close. Our verdict: a thoroughly enjoyable ride through beautiful countryside, with great roads, lively conversations and an extra helping of two-stroke charm. We are already looking forward to the next one! Two-stroke greetings, your Stahlstadt Vespa crew Photo credits: BMartin, HGregor, FDominik, Stahlstadt Vespa
